Shadows In The Night by Bob Dylan
About the album Shadows In The Night
Shadows In The Night from 2015 was Bob Dylan's thirty-sixth studio album and is a collection of ten classic American songs, made globally famous by Frank Sinatra.
Dylan chose an entirely "live" approach. The recordings were done live with his five-member band, without earphones, without overdubs, and without separate isolation booths for the instruments. The orchestration was minimalistic, transforming Sinatra's rich orchestral arrangements into subdued performances for a small ensemble.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, making Dylan (then aged 73) the oldest male solo artist to reach the top in Britain. In the US, it reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 50,000 copies in the first week. The album received rave reviews for Dylan's performance and was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2016.
