AM  by Arctic Monkeys

The Arctic Monkeys returned in 2013 with the fifth album of their career. Its title is AM. The album cover is completely abstract. The lines on the cover are a depiction of how AM radio waves move (!) The singer Alex Turner takes on the lyrics for most of the songs on the album, while their music is a collective effort. The producers of the album are James Ford and Ross Orton.

AM has received recognition from both the public and critics from its first day of release. It is considered and is one of the best albums of its decade. The Arctic Monkeys manage to combine rock, pop, alternative rock, and blues rock in AM to create one of the most interesting albums of their generation. Four singles emerged from the album. The second single, Do I Wanna Know?, was indeed a very big radio hit.

The album reached No.1 in many countries and its sales have exceeded 3,000,000 copies, making it the most commercially successful album of their career, slightly ahead of their debut.
