Arctic Monkeys are a British rock band from Sheffield, England, formed in 2002. The band's members include Alex Turner (vocals, guitar), Matt Helders (drums, vocals), Jamie Cook (guitar), and Nick O'Malley (bass, vocals). They gained widespread recognition in 2006 with their debut album "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not", which became the fastest-selling debut album by a British band in history. Their music is characterized by indie rock influences and lyrical intelligence, and they have released successful albums such as "AM" and "Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino". Arctic Monkeys are considered one of the most important bands of their generation and have won numerous awards for their contribution to music.
