Highway To Hell by AC/DC
About the album Highway To Hell
1979 will be a historic year for the group of Australians, as it will be marked by the tragic death of their legendary singer, Bon Scott, in the year the Highway To Hell was released. On the album cover, we have the photograph of all the members of the band. This was the second and last time something like that would happen. The first was on the cover of Let There Be Rock.
Highway To Hell was the album with which the band began to succeed in the USA and England. Mutt Lange was in charge of production and had given them the balance that was missing from their previous works. The recording of Highway To Hell with Mutt Lange in production was a shock for the members of AC/DC as the recording lasted three months with fifteen hours a day working locked in the studio. The band had not needed to spend more than three relaxed weeks in the studio on their previous works.
The success was great and decisive. Over the years the album has surpassed 10,000,000 copies sold worldwide.
