About the album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

2Pac recorded The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory during July and August of 1996, died in September, and in November the album was released in the market. Thus, it became the last album he recorded while alive and the first to be released after his death. The major change is that Tupac Amaru Shakur uses the pseudonym Makaveli on the cover instead of 2Pac.

The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory is a dark hip hop album, where 2Pac openly attacks many East Coast rappers through his lyrics, further fueling the feud that existed between the two sides. The singles that stood out from the album were Toss It Up, Hail Mary, and To Live & Die In L.A. The cover was somewhat prophetic as it depicts 2Pac crucified. To avoid misunderstandings and provocations, there is the phrase “In no way is this portrait an expression of disrespect for Jesus Christ.”

The album sold 4,000,000 copies in the United States, while selling 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom also made it gold there.
