About the album Me Against The World
In 1995, 2Pac returns to the spotlight with his third album, Me Against The World, an introspective record through which he presents his own perspective on society.
The album was released while 2Pac was in prison and went straight to No.1 on the Billboard, surpassing Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits (!). Many critics of the time when Me Against The World was released characterized the album as a hip hop/blues record due to the lyrics of the songs, which hid pain, sadness, disappointment, and other negative emotions.
It is considered by many to be his best album. Sales of Me Against The World worldwide have exceeded 5,000,000 copies.
