Ramones
Group
The Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in 1974 in Queens, New York. They are considered one of the pioneers of the punk rock movement, with a strong and direct sound that influenced many later bands. The band originally consisted of Joey Ramone (vocals), Johnny Ramone (guitar), Dee Dee Ramone (bass), and Tommy Ramone (drums). The Ramones released a total of 14 albums and became known for their dynamic and short songs, such as "Blitzkrieg Bop", "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker", and "Rockaway Beach". Despite not having great commercial success in the United States during their initial run, they gained significant influence and a loyal fanbase worldwide. They disbanded in 1996, but their music and legacy continue to influence the rock scene to this day.
