Halfway To Sanity by Ramones
About the album Halfway To Sanity
The band's tenth studio album, Halfway To Sanity, was marked by the arguments between drummer Richie Ramone and guitarist Johnny Ramone over financial issues. This resulted in Richie leaving the group during the album's promotional tour, leading to the cancellation of many scheduled performances. The album was recorded in April 1987 and released in the market in September of the same year.
Halfway To Sanity is another punk rock album in the Ramones' familiar style. Its recordings took place at Intergalactic studio in New York, and the album's producer was Daniel Rey, who also played the bass parts as Dee Dee Ramone refused to do so. In general, tensions were not absent at any level, and it seemed like everyone was against each other.
A Real Cool Time and I Wanna Live were the two singles from the album. Halfway To Sanity reached No.172 on the Billboard, while as usual, the album's fate was much better in European countries.
