About the album Road To Ruin

In September 1978, the New Yorkers Ramones released the fourth studio album of their career and cemented their position among the most beloved punk-rock bands at a time when punk was at its peak. Road To Ruin was recorded between May and July 1978 with producers Thomas Erdelyi and Ed Stasium.

The album contains two of the Ramones' most beloved and well-known songs, the first being I Just Want To Have Something To Do and the second being I Wanna Be Sedated. Another song that was loved by the band's fans was the cover of Needles And Pins by the British Searchers, who had also covered it in 1964 from the American Jackie De Shannon, who was the first to perform it in 1963 (!)

Road To Ruin reached No. 103 on the Billboard and No. 32 in Great Britain. Road To Ruin was the Ramones' last album for the 1970s, essentially closing the first period of their career.
