James
In 1982 in Manchester, England, a band would be formed by a group of young people with the name James, derived from the full name of Jim Glennie—one of the founders of the group—James Patrick Glennie, as no one called him James, but everyone called him Jim. Crucial for James was the arrival in the band of Tim Booth as the singer. James' first album was released in 1986 under the title Stutter, while the album with which they started achieving success was Gold Mother in 1990. The 1990s were their most successful decade, filled with notable albums such as Seven in 1992 or Whiplash in 1997. Musically, James have moved and been influenced by many genres of modern pop & rock music. From folk to electronica and from indie rock to pop.
