About the album Dying For The World

The tenth studio album of W.A.S.P. was released in June 2002. Blackie Lawless and his band offer the fans an utterly heavy metal album, which seems to be a journey back in time, an album that awakens memories of the band's sound from the 1980s and early 1990s.

Blackie Lawless wrote the ten songs of the album and produced them at Fort Apache Recording Studio in Hollywood, California within six months, which was unusual for him as he always needed more time to complete an album due to his perfectionism.

The album Dying For The World is dedicated to the victims of "September 11th." This is clearly evident in the song Hallowed Ground, which exists in two versions, the electric and the acoustic Hallowed Ground (Take #5 Acoustic), while the Japanese edition of the album also includes Hallowed Ground (Take #2).
