About the album You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll

A year later after their successful debut, the American heavy metal band from New Jersey, Twisted Sister, return with their second album in 1983, titled You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll. This time, the album is released by Atlantic Records rather than the English Secret Records. This indicated that the band had moved up a level.

Otherwise, the composition of the band remains the same, as does the producer who is the Englishman Stuart Epps. All the songs are compositions of the singer Daniel "Dee" Snider, also known as Dee Snider. Three singles emerged from the album, the first being I Am (I'm Me), followed by The Kids Are Back, and the cycle of singles closed with the titular track You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll, which as a song was a re-recording of one written in 1981 and intended to be on the first album as its title, but at the last minute Martin Hooker, head of Secret Records, requested not to include it. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that his company had started by promoting punk-rock bands and the title was contrary to what punk stood for (!)

In any case, You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll reached No. 14 in the United Kingdom and No. 130 on the Billboard. The most significant achievement of the second album in Twisted Sister's career was maintaining the heavy audience's interest in them and paving the way for what was to come the following year (!)
