About the album Get Behind Me Satan
The White Stripes return to the discography in 2005 with the album Get Behind Me Satan, which for better or worse will be compared to their previous album Elephant, which had made them famous all over the world. Jack White knows this and thus takes on the production exclusively himself, creating an album with a quite different sound color from that of Elephant.
Get Behind Me Satan is an album that consists of more melodic compositions. While it retains the pure alternative rock sound of the band, the punk and garage pursuits of the previous album have been replaced by country and pop elements, and there is also a strong dose of musical experimentation.
The three singles managed to capture the interest of the audience in the United Kingdom and the United States, but certainly, Get Behind Me Satan did not have the impact that some of the previous recording works of the Detroit group had.
