The White Stripes
The White Stripes were an American rock band, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, by guitarist and vocalist Jack White and drummer Meg White. The band became very well known for their minimalist style, which combines elements of blues-rock, punk, and garage rock. The White Stripes gained international fame with their album "White Blood Cells" (2001) and the hit "Fell in Love with a Girl." Their next album "Elephant" (2003) contained the iconic song "Seven Nation Army," which established them as one of the most innovative bands of their time. Their style was characterized by simplicity and intensity, and the members adopted a distinctive aesthetic, dressed in white, red, and black. Despite their success, the band disbanded in 2011.
