About the album Out Of Time
Fans of R.E.M. had to wait three whole years to hear something new. Out Of Time was released in early 1991 and turned out to be one of the most successful albums in the band's career, as well as of the entire decade.
The sound presented by the group from Athens, Georgia, is less electric compared to their previous works. Here, country guitars take a leading role, while a touch of “baroque” is also present.
The album has reached 18,000,000 in sales worldwide, and surely the video clips of Losing My Religion and Shiny Happy People gave the album a significant boost.
