Suite XVI by The Stranglers
About the album Suite XVI
The Stranglers presented Suite XVI in 2006, an album with a very punk-rock vibe, which is of course covered and wrapped in a polished production by Louie Nicastro. Jean-Jacques Burnel and Baz Warne take on the performance of the songs, since Paul Roberts, the singer of the previous five albums, has left.
Jean-Jacques Burnel and Baz Warne are the composers of most of the songs on Suite XVI. The one and only single from the album was Spectre Of Love, which reached No. 57 on the UK charts.
Suite XVI reached No. 45 in the Stranglers' home country. In the rest of the world, it went unnoticed.
