About the album A Kiss In The Dreamhouse

In their fifth studio album, Siouxsie & The Banshees use strings for the first time, and their sound changes by adopting something more psychedelic, which is also supported by the album cover, influenced by the painting of Austrian Gustav Klimt.

Dreamhouse was the name of a brothel that operated in Hollywood in the 1940s. The prostitutes underwent cosmetic surgeries to resemble some celebrities of that era, aiming to attract more clientele.

The album reached No.11 in the UK.
