About the album Prayers On Fire

In Prayers On Fire, we hear what Nick Cave – primarily – can write at 23 with the help of his peer Mick Harvey. The album is easily characterized by its modernity, but to the extremes.

Prayers On Fire was released in 1981 and was the second album of the young Australians who were trying to leave their mark on the Melbourne music scene initially and possibly the rest of the world.

At the time, the album enjoyed success in underground circles.
