Feline by The Stranglers
About the album Feline
In 1983, it was the turn of the album Feline. The seventh studio album by The Stranglers was recorded in September 1982 and was released in the very beginning of 1983. The first single was European Female, the second Midnight Summer Dream, and the third Paradise. The sound, although definitely part of the new wave, had now acquired a strong pop hue.
The Stranglers collaborated in production with Steve Churchyard for the second consecutive album, while the mixing of the songs was done by Tony Visconti. The songs as compositions belong to all the members of the band.
Feline reached No.4 in the UK, and its total sales reached 100,000, making it the second studio album in sales by The Stranglers. Feline would become the last studio album by the band from Guildford to enter the UK Top-10. The Stranglers would have to wait 38 years for something like that to happen again (!)
