Black And White by The Stranglers
About the album Black And White
The third album of the Stranglers was recorded between February and March 1978 and was released in May 1978. Thus, from April 1977 to May 1978, the Stranglers had released three albums. This resulted in the compositions on Black And White not being on par with those of the first two albums.
The big and timeless success of the record was Nice 'n' Sleazy, which was released as the first single of the album. On the other hand, the band tried to experiment with the sound, which probably wasn't very successful. The production belongs to Martin Rushent.
Total sales of the album have reached 100,000. In Britain, it reached No. 18, while in the USA, it had no luck.
