About the album From The Lions Mouth
In 1981, the second studio album of the Londoners Sound is ready. From The Lions Mouth serves as a legacy for the next generations of English bands that will want throughout the 1980s to experiment with post-punk music and beyond.
The musical style of the album is dark, almost gothic. Although the reviews the album received were positive, in the end, the album proved to be rather a commercial failure, even though the late Adrian Borland described it as their most commercial album. Songs that stood out and were loved by the group's faithful fans were Winning, Fatal Flaw, while the album's single was Sense Of Purpose.
The Sound and producer Hugh Jones ensured this specific dark atmosphere that the compositions of the masterful From The Lions Mouth convey to the listener.
