Some Girls by The Rolling Stones
About the album Some Girls
Fifteen years (approximately) after their first discographic work, the Rolling Stones released Some Girls in 1978 and closed the '70s dynamically as it would be their last studio album for this decade.
Some Girls was the album in which Ronnie Wood became an official member of the Rolling Stones after about four years. It was recorded at Pathé Marconi studio in Paris between October 10, 1977, and March 2, 1978. The original cover - which was immediately withdrawn - depicted the faces of female celebrities, who had not given their permission to be used on the cover of Some Girls. The cover was withdrawn following related lawsuits from some of them and was replaced by another with altered and processed faces of some punk enthusiasts. The cover was accompanied by the phrase "Pardon our appearance – cover under reconstruction".
The single Miss You would elevate their career once again with its disco rhythm. The 6,000,000 copies sold only in the US show the interest that the rock audience still held for the Rolling Stones.
