About the album Waiting For Herb
In 1993, the band the Pogues will release the sixth album of their career. Waiting For Herb is the first album without Shane MacGowan in the position of the singer as his addictions hadn't left much room for him at that time. His place is taken by Spider Stacy.
Waiting For Herb is an album that combines elements of folk and rock music, all on the basis of Celtic rock. Michael Brook has undertaken the production, giving the entire album a very cheerful atmosphere. There were two singles from the album, Tuesday Morning and Once Upon A Time. The album did not convince music critics at the time of its release.
After the album's release, Terry Woods, James Fearnley, and Philip Chevron left the band. The end of the band – at least discographically – seemed near.
