About the album Peace And Love

The Pogues arrive with their fourth album Peace And Love in 1989 and make it clear that they want to incorporate more rock forms into their sound and leave behind the traditional Celtic music of their early albums.

Peace And Love remains their second most commercially successful album in Britain, having sold over 100,000 copies and reaching No. 5 on the charts.

Part of the success is also attributed to Steve Lillywhite, who was in the album's production.
