About the album Splinter
The album Splinter by The Offspring was their seventh in their career. All the songs are compositions by Dexter Holland (singer and composer - but also a molecular biologist) (!) founding member of the group from California.
Drummer Ron Welty did not participate in the album, as he was fired three weeks before the start of the recordings. His place was taken by Josh Freese.
Splinter reached No. 30 in the U.S. and managed to go gold due to its 500,000 and above sales.
