About the album Jollification

The third album by the English band Lightning Seeds was released in 1994, and of course its sound is fully in tune with britpop, which at that time was at its peak. The impressive cover is a work by English designer Mark Farrow, who used computer graphics to create it, something pioneering for that era.

The first single from the album is Lucky You, a pop/rock song that would become one of the greatest hits of the mid-‘90s, while the second single, Changes, also played its role in the success of Jollification. Producers of the album were Ian Broudie and Simon Rogers.

The success of Jollification was accompanied by live performances, something that the Lightning Seeds had not attempted for their two previous works. The highest position it reached on the UK charts was No. 12.
