Dizzy Heights by The Lightning Seeds
About the album Dizzy Heights
The Lightning Seeds released their fourth studio album in 1996, titled Dizzy Heights, which contains twelve new songs. The album is another pure britpop album, which will also achieve success, both in the United Kingdom and in several other European countries.
Most of the songs on Dizzy Heights are compositions by Ian Broudie, who either writes alone or collaborates with others, such as Terry Hall or Nick Wire of the Manic Street Preachers. Four singles were released from the album. The last in the series was a cover of a Byrds song and it was You Showed Me, which became the big hit of the album, as it reached No. 8 on the British charts.
Dizzy Heights was the album by the Lightning Seeds that climbed to the highest position in the UK charts, reaching No. 11, and its sales there made it gold.
