Modern Life Is Rubbish by Blur
About the album Modern Life Is Rubbish
In order for Blur to return to the spotlight – after a failed tour in the U.S.A. to promote their debut – they incorporated pop elements from English bands of the '60s and '70s into the sound of English indie rock of that time. The recipe for britpop was now ready.
Modern Life Is Rubbish managed to become and be considered one of the landmark albums for the Britpop sound.
The album reached No15 in Britain at the time of its release.
