Alpha Beta Gamma Delta by The Godfathers
About the album Alpha Beta Gamma Delta
Alpha Beta Gamma Delta will be the ninth studio album for the band the Godfathers, or rather for their singer Peter Coyne and the four new members who were hired in 2019. However, the Covid-19 pandemic brought disruptions to the plans for recordings and tours. Coyne is involved in the composition of all the songs. The album was produced by Jon Priestley and recorded at Jon Priestley's Abatis Studios. Priestley participates in the composition of about half of the album's songs. Thus, the album was recorded and created gradually, and after eighteen months the Godfathers were able to release it.
Its sound moves in the classic rock musical style of the Godfathers, but due to the sweeping change in the band's members, the songs have freshness and interest. The three singles from the album were I'm Not Your Slave, Midnight Rider, and I Hate The 21st Century. During the summer of 2022, and before the album was released, the Godfathers released the EP I Hate The 21st Century and the EP Midnight Rider as a forerunner.
The cover of Alpha Beta Gamma Delta depicts a tower of cubes, which have the first four letters of the Greek alphabet written on them. It was released through Godfathers Recordings.
