About the album The Doors

Decades after the release of The Doors in 1967, this debut continues to be a distinct chapter in pop/rock culture.

It was recorded during August and September of 1966 in Hollywood and with its very first single, Light My Fire, it drew attention to this four-member group.

In 2015, The Doors was included in the National Recording Registry, which is an official list of recordings that characterized and shaped U.S. culture.
