Colosseum were among the pioneers in England who blended psychedelia, rock, jazz, and blues into their music and created the jazz rock scene in Britain.
The 1969 Valentyne Suite is Colosseum's second album and stands as a brilliant example of this effort.
It is, if nothing else, an experimental album, which managed to reach No.15 in Britain and No.18 in Australia the following year of its release (!)
