About the album Disintegration
Disintegration from 1989 is considered by many to be the pinnacle album for Robert Smith and his crew. It is the eighth studio album of the band from the small English town of Crawley.
The Cure make a grand return to the dark and gothic sound with which they became known and loved at the start of their career, adding a more pompous character to their compositions due to the “hypnotic” synthesizers that run throughout the record.
The album has surpassed 4,000,000 copies worldwide, reaching No.3 in Britain and No.12 in the U.S.A.
