About the album Burning From The Inside
The British band Bauhaus in their fourth album, Burning From The Inside of 1983, move musically between post-punk and gothic rock. This specific album will be the swan song for the first (and most productive) period of Bauhaus as tensions arose among the group members.
The main cause of the tensions was the absence of Peter Murphy from the recordings and the creation of the songs, as he was ill. This forced bassist David J and guitarist Daniel Ash to sing on four songs.
The great success of the album was undoubtedly the single She's In Parties which reached No. 26 in Britain, while the album managed to reach No. 13 in their homeland.
