On November 16, the Animals enter the studio and record the songs that would become the second studio album of the band from Newcastle. Animal Tracks was released in May 1965 by Columbia Records and reached No. 6 in Great Britain.
Of the eleven songs included in the second album by the British Animals, ten are blues covers of hits mainly by American artists. Notable covers include How You've Changed by Chuck Berry, Bright Lights, Big City by Jimmy Reed, and Let The Good Times Roll by Shirley & Lee. There is one composition by Eric Burdon, For Miss Caulker.
In September 1965, Animal Tracks was released in the American market, which included different songs except for Roberta and For Miss Caulker.
