About the album Eve

The progressive ensemble of the Alan Parsons Project with the album Eve from 1979 is happily reaching its fourth discographic work. Eve is an attempt by the band to praise the woman. The female name Eve, which gave the album its title, was the name of Eric Woolfson's mother-in-law, the group's co-founder and keyboardist.

The album was recorded at Super Bear Studios between December 1978 and June 1979. The change that occurred in the Alan Parsons Project was the arrival of Chris Rainbow as a vocalist. On the album, one can hear samples ranging from progressive rock to pure pop moments fully harmonized with the trends prevailing in the late '70s. The album's hits were the instrumental music theme Lucifer and Damned If I Do, which were also the first singles from the album. The trademark of Lucifer was the Morse code signals heard at the beginning.

Eve managed to resonate more with the American audience than the British. Indicative of this is the No.13 on Billboard in contrast to the No.74 in the United Kingdom.
