About the album It's Five O'Clock Somewhere

In 1995, the year when the relationships between Axl Rose and the other members of Guns ‘n’ Roses were not at their best, Slash allied with the others, and Eric Dover joined as a singer, resulting in It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, the first album of Slash’s Snakepit.

It's Five O'Clock Somewhere is an album filled with hard rock and blues rock compositions, while the careful listener will notice that southern rock also makes its presence known, as it happens in Beggars & Hangers-On, which was the first single of the record. Many said at the time that it was a Guns ‘n’ Roses album without Axl Rose on vocals, and the truth was somewhat like that. The album was produced by Slash himself and Mike Clink.

The album's sales surpassed 1,000,000 worldwide and it reached No. 70 on the Billboard. The noteworthy success of the album was its performance in Japan, where it sold 100,000 copies.
