About the album Kaleidoscope
In 1980, Siouxsie And The Banshees released their third studio album titled Kaleidoscope. The arrival of Budgie on drums and John McGeoch on guitars to the band brought changes to the band's sound. The sound takes a direction towards electronic music with an inclination for experimentation. The album's producer was Nigel Gray.
This particular album reached No. 5 in Great Britain. It is the album that achieved the highest position for any work by Siouxsie And The Banshees in their homeland.
Robert Smith of The Cure, Johnny Marr of The Smiths, Radiohead, Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, The Jam, and several others have spoken positively about Kaleidoscope and cited it as an influence. All of this makes it a landmark album for the English post-punk scene.
