Blackout by Scorpions
About the album Blackout
The German band Scorpions, with their eighth album, Blackout from 1982, managed to get as close to the heavy metal sound as possible. It should be noted that Klaus Meine, a few months prior, was on the verge of losing his voice and was spared thanks to a successful surgery.
The guitars take the lead with riffs that get stuck in your mind (Blackout, Dynamite), mid-tempo songs (No One Like You) and a classic rock ballad, which always had an honorary place in every work of the group from Hanover (When The Smoke Is Going Down).
Over time and with the increasing popularity of the band in the United States, sales reached 1,000,000, and it performed well there as soon as it was released, reaching No. 10 on the Billboard.
