About the album Abraxas
Abraxas, which is a word from the book Demian by Hesse, was the second studio album by Santana. It became the first album to reach No. 1 in the U.S.
Of all the compositions contained in the album, Carlos Santana's signature is only present in the instrumental "Incident at Neshabur," which was created in collaboration with the band's pianist at the time, Alberto Gianquinto. The rest are covers or compositions by other Santana members.
Abraxas has sold 5,000,000 copies in the U.S.
