Carlos Santana and Santana make a big comeback in the discography and success. Seven years after Milagro, we have Supernatural in 1999, which literally sweeps. Supernatural becomes the eighteenth studio album in the discographic journey of the Santana band.
It is characterized by many distinguished collaborations (Eric Clapton, Rob Thomas, Lauryn Hill, Maná, etc.) and the use of both English and Spanish languages in the songs. From the album emerged six super successful singles, such as Smooth, Maria Maria, or Corazón Espinado.
It took not one, not two producers, but fourteen (!), to create this particular masterpiece. Supernatural became No. 1 in 18 countries and sold 40,000,000 (!) copies in these and many other countries. It was as if the whole world owed something to Carlos Santana...
