About the album Live! In Europe

Live! In Europe is a landmark album in Rory Gallagher's career. In fact, it was the third album by the artist from Ireland and his first live-recorded one. It was released in May 1972.

Live! In Europe is a "hybrid" album whose original edition included seven songs. Two of these were previously released on Rory Gallagher's earlier studio albums, Laundromat and In Your Town. The other five are either debut songs or covers of blues pieces by other artists, which Gallagher, as a profound connoisseur of the blues, performs in a unique way. Among these, Messin' With The Kid stood out, becoming one of his most characteristic songs. The album was produced by the artist himself.

Live! In Europe reached No.9 in the UK and became his first gold album due to the sales it achieved. Its journey on the Billboard chart stopped at No.101.
