About the album He Got Game
The sixth studio release by Public Enemy in 1998 was a soundtrack, He Got Game, for the film of the same name by Spike Lee. A film dedicated to basketball.
The album immediately received very favorable reviews. However, the album did not perform well commercially despite its very good production and the quality of its songs and despite the rise of Hip-Hop during that period. The reason was that Public Enemy's Hip-Hop now belonged to another era.
No50 in Britain and No26 in the U.S.
