About the album Gone Again
In 1996, Patti Smith picks up the pieces after the death of her husband, Fred Smith, who had died two years earlier, and the loss of other loved ones, and returns to discography after 8 years with Gone Again, where she tries to find her footing in the new musical landscape of the ‘90s.
Patti Smith signs all the songs on the album except for the cover of Bob Dylan's Wicked Messenger.
The album reached No. 55 in the U.S. and No. 44 in the UK.
