About the album Easter
Easter in 1978 is Patti Smith's third album, but it is the second released as Patti Smith Group. It is an album that immediately won over critics and the public and is considered one of her greatest moments, or even the greatest.
The themes of the songs abound with references to religious issues with the appropriate critique of them. This, after all, starts from the title of the album.
The producer of the album is Jimmy Iovine. He brought Smith into contact with Springsteen, who gave her the song Because The Night, which characterized the rest of Patti Smith's musical career. Easter reached No. 20 on the Billboard chart.
