About the album Dream Of Life
1988 is the year of Patti Smith's return to discography after nine years. During this very long period, literally everything has changed in the musical landscape of pop/rock music. Dream Of Life is essentially the fifth album of this very important American musician and singer.
Patti Smith seems to continue musically from where she left off in 1979 in order to devote herself to raising her child. Her husband Fred "Sonic" Smith is with her on the album, playing guitars and producing the record. The standout moment of the album was the song People Have The Power.
Dream Of Life reached No. 65 on the Billboard, while in Norway and Switzerland it reached No. 9.
