Mind Hive  by Wire

Wire is an English band whose journey began in the mid-70s and follows the entire development of the English post-punk and new wave scene in England. Since then, there have been many member changes in the group. The soul of the band remains Colin Newman and Graham Lewis. Thus, in 2020, Wire released the seventeenth album of their long career, Mind Hive, and received highly positive impressions from critics and fans of their music.

The album is a collection of nine new compositions that were prepared between the years 2018 and 2019 and were released as Mind Hive in the very early days of 2020. Most of the compositions are characterized by a dark futuristic sound, like the song Oklahoma or the eight-minute Hung. Mind Hive seems to make a musical retrospective with a fresh and contemporary sound for each period of Wire.

The album reached No. 82 in Britain. The production was done by Colin Newman.
