The sixth studio album by Nick Cave and his band, the Bad Seeds, is The Good Son, an album which opens a new musical chapter in his career.
The wild and harsh sound of his records from the era of the Birthday Party, gives way to melodies and slow-paced romantic songs, which however bring to the surface the interpretative capabilities of this great Australian artist, that were not apparent in his works of the previous decade.
The Good Son yielded two singles, The Ship Song and The Weeping Song, which are also two of the best songs in Nick Cave's long-standing career. The production belongs to the Bad Seeds themselves.
