This Is The Sea by The Waterboys
About the album This Is The Sea
How many bands would not want to reach the sonic perfection that the group from Britain found in the mid-1980s with This Is The Sea, from 1985.
This Is The Sea comes as the culmination of the journey the Waterboys had started with their two previous albums. Songs like The Whole Of The Moon, Don’t Bang The Drum, and The Pan Within are rare to find on the same record. It was the last album for the multi-instrumentalist Karl Wallinger, who left to form World Party.
In England, it reached No. 37, while in the Netherlands it reached No. 4.
