About the album Henry’s Dream
The recording of Nick Cave's seventh album with his group was a nightmarish experience as the collaboration with producer David Briggs did not go well at all. The producer wanted to apply an exhausting "live-in-the-studio" recording method and pushed the band to play the same song over and over again in the studio, which brought the band to its limits.
Nick Cave has stated that during the composition of the album's songs, he was extremely influenced by the images of beggars on the streets of Brazilian cities, where he was living at the time.
For the promotion of Henry’s Dream, a massive world tour was undertaken. Moments from this were released in the live Live Seeds in 1993. Henry's Dream reached No. 29 in England.
