About the album Houses Of The Holy

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were the composers of the eight songs that made up Led Zeppelin's fifth album. Houses Of The Holy was released in 1973 and followed in the footsteps of the previous Led Zeppelin album as it became a very big success in the U.S.

For the recording needs of Houses Of The Holy, Led Zeppelin used the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. In this album, Led Zeppelin ventures into art rock with songs like "The Crunge". Most of the reviews the album has received are positive. Nevertheless, it is not the album that could be characterized as the best, as the listener perceives an experimentation in sound that does not always succeed.

The album approaches 12,500,000 copies sold worldwide. It is the fourth most commercially successful album by Led Zeppelin. It was produced by Jimmy Page.
